North Alwyn, one of the biggest oil and gas processing platforms in the British North Sea, came on stream 20 years ago. To mark the anniversary of this production giant (current capacity is 140,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day), we felt it deserved no less than to be immortalised by a still-life photographer charged with poetic emotion. Enter François Lacour, who made the journey and fulfilled an ambition. An encounter in images.
